Apparently I'm a PG graduate, so I thought I'd add my 2 cents:
I played in the first PG season before I bought my membership (and for the most part, lost badly), and I can say I learned a lot from those matches. Without that experience, I would probably have entered the ladder #60 or so.

The Proving Grounds were originally meant to be just that: a league where not-quite top players can prove their worth and learn from playing against people of similar skill.


If you can consistently rank in the top 10 of the ladder, IMHO you don't belong in PG.
PG isn't 20 and isn't meant to be. It's meant for active average and above-average players who want to have some fun competing against each other and/or improve their skill.

Judging by the replies in this thread, I'd say there's enough interest in the Proving Grounds that there doesn't have to be much overlap between PG and 20.

Yes maybe if it is turkey or ancient greece or guiroma...Anyways i'll play in this if it isnt medium earth. Also if your [20] league has the same players as Qi's i guess i would end up in that i think i could fit into the bottom of group C

Okay, I have added everyone who signed up, as well as many other players. I have 25 players in [20A] and [20B] each, 26 in [20C], 45 in [PGA] and [PGB] each.
