TL;DR
Thexes listens to his 4 generals bicker : Montgomery, Victor, Kampf and Juel.
Juel comes up with a sort of scorched earth ambush tactic.
Montgomery likes this line of thinking.
Victor and Kampf propose that civilian militias be used as bait while elite army corps go in to do the real damage to Prince Mennovai's lands.
Juel comes up with a crazier stratagem : invade them during the winter.
Thexes can either agree with one of these proposed stratagems, or divise his own.

but Thexes disagreed with Juel due to Low Supplies in Winter and the Fact that the Capital lies within the Great Winter Circle

Thexes had his final decision. All the men, all the women, all the children, all the elderly, everyone would have their last battle. Each person wore a orange flower on their lapel, a symbol of the kingdom. This would be the last battle.
It was a bloodbath, no man, no women, no children, no elderly, no one was left. The land was a bloodied ruby red, but from the outside a cold shiver erupted. This wouldn't be the end. Prince Mennovai's troops had suffered the battle with massive casualties, but had won. With 10 women remaining, and 10 men remaining, the world would be born again

but one man named Young Pork discovered a Time Machine and went back in time to when Thexes was deciding and convinced him to evacuate the Population into the Southern Isles
