WHat happens with new maps, made after this update that have a minimum level? are old players sill grandfathered in for those as well? Or no, because you're not 'losing' anything.

Any new maps that come out now that have a minimal level are not gained by grandfather accounts as it is not a pre V2 map.

This sounds very appealing and at first I could see no wrong in it. However if I wasn't grandfathered i'd be extremely put off. I would not want to be forced to play however many games in order to enjoy Warlight the way I want. Game-creation is probably my favourite part of Warlight, so having all these limitations would sadden and discourage me from gaming.

I don't play real-time anymore, and only multi-day with select people.. These games are slow and I wont level at much pace. For people like me this mechanic may be frustrating.

Obviously i'm a minority in the way I play so I still have to applaud the mechanic in the way it will affect the game and the community positively.

Perhaps membership could give players settings early - That might bring in some revenue.

I think unlocking all maps would be a great addition to membership. There are tons of posts on here every week complaining that membership isn't worth it. Adding any additional value to it would help some of those concerns

Hi there,

I have a question...

At what level can I make a "custom deployment of slots" on a multiplayer map?
(E.g. giving Britain to slot B, giving Germany to slot A, etc)

I don't think you will get that answer from Fizzer (he hasn't been answering these types of questions). Members can already do that, so the only people that can answer that are high level non-members if they unlocked it.

After your comment I started playin the Tutorial :D

But it was kinda weird. It didn`t work for several times so I got bored and decided to take over all of the Tutorial world. Took it over tried it again and suddenly the tutorial-cloud-things were gone and I could do what I wanted. I have completed the tutorial multiple times before, but it never gave up the tutorial and let me walk around freely :\

I think it is safe to say now that WL 2.0 was a complete let down. All I see now is noobs creating pointless games just to level up. Then the noobs will say "whats wrong with wanting to level up and unlock new features?" Nothing except that you are not earning your levels honorably, duel games and crap is just stupid.

I agree, while I think the achievements were an excellent idea - the leveling system has to change or be removed.

I completely agree with Timinator's idea, simply yet effective.

Wouldn't it be possible to reduce points by 50% for maps with 40 or less territories (avoiding roulette games for up to 40 player FFA's), and by 90% for maps with 10 or less territories? I'm sure that can be easily coded.

Of course, it would be better if there were 40 or less territories taken and 10 or loss territories taken rather than the size of the map (think about it - custom scenario's on big maps can create duel-like circumstances.)

It wouldn't help. All the duel players would do is find a map that has a distribution that has neighboring start locations, set the neutrals super high, and they can do the same thing on a bigger map.

Another idea is to diminish points if the game doesn't last more than a few turns. This doesn't work either, since you could design a scenario like Duel, but where it takes a few turns to finish the game. It also opens the door for trolls who surrender on turn 1 when they don't like their spots just to frustrate their opponents.

How about diminishing points when kill rates are overridden? The whole idea behind the duel map doesn't work in normal kill rates, since it turns into a stalemate where the first player who attacks loses.

I still don't know why we care about farming really. I would almost prefer it myself. It means less people creating %75 luck games without advanced settings. Or at least I hope.

That being said, it would still be nice to have features that ONLY members will be able to do, regardless of how many points/levels you attain.
