Thanks for applying; you will be considered, and if taken, added after all the top players have.

I had to remake again; one, to make an autoboot (10 days) so that the tourney will end for certain, and two, to make it practice so that myhand's stats won't be affected.

I'll post a link soon.

3 Apex are still in and 3 Wms. Could it be a clan only final?

a tournament with such a title cannot take place if i am not in it. in fact it should just be a 32 person tournament of the best players to see who plays me a one game match at the end, so i don't waste my time.

Billy a lot of players don't consider you good enough for this tourney, and it started before you started posting on the forums.

. The winner gets the title of 'MASTER OF STRATEGIC 1v1' and all the bragging rights that go with it.

I already have that title and I wont be giving it up to anybody who gets lucky in one tournament I didn't even play in.

I have nothing to say to you Billy except give up. The winner of THIS tourney will be unofficial Strategic 1v1 Master. You are a an official Master of Delusion and Insanity, as well as being the best definition of absolute hubristicity I have seen in exactly 48 seconds of amateur psychology. I'm sure X would agree with me.

Since you probably don;t know what Hubris is, here is a handy Wikipedia link :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubris

best definition of absolute hubristicity

There is no definition of "hubristicity" since that is not a word that exists.

I don't know why you felt the need to turn a word that was already a noun into even more of a noun.

Hubris is creating a tournament that aims to identify the best player on warlight and not including the best player this site has ever seen.

Hubris means extreme pride or arrogance. Hubris often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one's own competence or capabilities.

X, I thought it sounded cooler :P

Ummm, I'm not sure whether there will be a next edition; I was thinking of starting a small Strategic 1v1 Masters RR (for the top 6 players or something).

My bet is that the judge was Szeweningen. It is slanted toward [WM] over apex based on who was invited. I know for a fact that a couple of [WM] guys invited are weaker than some apex guys who weren't at strategic 1v1. I'm also unsure how some of the non WM or apex guys got invited when they are not as good as many of the guys left out. http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?TournamentID=3411 (a tournament I made a few months ago) is stronger than this Strategic Masters Tournament. I wouldn't really consider the winner of that tournament or even this one the best master of strategic 1v1. I think perhaps a better representation is to look at [20]'s A League Round Robin which features about 15 of the best players on warlight in a round robin tournament.

Despite the problems with this Strategic Masters thing, it is still a strong tournament and it will take a very good player to win it I think. However, I think you are trying to make too much out of one tournament. I'd say it'd be in your best interests to let the good players make their own tournaments and invite the players they think are good. If you focused on improving your game instead of doing things like this that are unneeded, maybe you would have more respect and someday be good enough to be invited to one of these. Not trying to start an argument or anything, just a word of advice.

If you want to keep making these tournaments, I'm sure no one would have a problem with it since its just saving everyone else time from making it themselves. But I personally see no reason for you to do this unless you want to try to make yourself look like you are doing extra for the community which is the reason I didn't like you in the first place. Some of the things actually help the community and are not done by the makers to gain fame: Clan League, Live Streamed Events, Promotion/Reglation League, Nation's Cup, Play-off's by dunga, etc. Try working on something that you think would actually help the community and make warlight become better and more fun to play.

PS: You're off my blacklist. You are no longer the annoying spammer you once were and I can see improvement on your gameplay. So keep improving, and maybe someday I'll see you in the top 10 of the ladder.

Sorry about the long post but I felt there was a lot that I needed to say :P

More specifically, hubris is a pride that comes before a fall. An over-confidence that has tangible repercussions.

But yeah, it can just be a fancy synonym for arrogance.
