I also find it amusing that the pages you're linking refer to Righ Knight as being a celebrity, yet he doesn't even have a fucking wikipedia page. I by no means claim to be a celebrity, but my work is mentioned on wikipedia, whereas yours isn't? Something tells me that it's because when you put up a wiki page for yourself in the past it got removed for being hyperbolic in fashion.

I've yet to see anyone "famous" without a wiki page.

If they have fans, those fans make such pages. If those pages are full of shit, they get deleted by the community.

I am making no claims of fame, I am merely pointing out that if average Joes like me have their work referenced in Wikipedia pages that are accepted as being notable enough to exist by the community, while supposed celebrities get their pages deleted due to being non-notable, that doesn't exactly add up.

I've been a mod on Wikipedia for 4 years and they still haven't gotten around to accepting it.
Yeah if you adjust something or are part of a website, then yeah no problem.

I've had my main company Legacy Corporation open for going on 4 years now and been referenced in nearly 24 publications and can't get wikipedia to carry a page for it, lots of people have this problem, and since I refuse to PAY to have a full page posted, here we stand.

There are currently, 106,584,203 pages waiting to be accepted by wikipedia staff.....

I guess all those businesses and people are fake too.

Most of them aren't fake, though some surely are, most of them however are non-notable.

Wikipedia also doesn't publish pages for individuals or companies because you pay them to, so your logic is pretty damn awful.

You don't have the option to pay for your page to be published, it's not that you have the option but choose to take the moral high road.

Ok well notoriety is a thing that takes time to build, I know Righ just got interviewed by a CNN reporter about something, that was in the RSS today, that should be exciting.

Its actually part of a bigger problem with paid publicity, for those with only an agent and no publicist, or the other way around; it becomes hard to keep track of what is legit.

Besides if you have money you can just pay a reporter/newspaper/etc to do a report on you, and buy a wikipedia page.
