Update: Today is the last day for registration. We have 7 teams, I'm hoping to get 1 more to make it 2 divisions of 4, so I'll reach out to some people to see if we can make that happen. Tournaments will be created on May 5th. I'll link a sheet by then, probably today or tomorrow.

How will the divisions be divided?

You could just divide it randomly into two groups and have the top two of each group form division A and the bottom two for Division B for next season.

And to decide the winner, have the winner of each of the random groups in a once off game.

Otherwise you could just seed it yourself.

We have 8 teams. Cowboy and I will give each team a rough rank and make divisions, one of the 1-4-5-8 ranks and one of the 2-3-6-7 ranks. (This way groups will be more even and more exciting). Top 2 from each group make group A and bottom 2 make group B for next time, like you said.

Yeah sounds good but there would be no winner of the P/R league, so what I'm saying is to have the winner from each of these qualifying groups to play each other, so we can have a winner for the first season.

With the restart of the small earth league, I'm having 5 equal groups, but no winner. I don't think you need a winner with equal groups. Once divisions are formed, you can play a proper season and have a league winner.(the winner of the top division)

This is the route I'm taking. In the 1v1 P/R league on strat ME, they name the winner of each group, which I may do as well.
