The thing I don't think people get is that everyone retires every day. Retiring doesn't denote a specific time period. It can mean literally anything, as long as you're taking a break or hiatus from the game for any period. For example if i take a break from this game for 15 mins each day then that means that every day i have retired for 15 mins. According to the dictionary, retire in the most fundamental and basic sense just means to withdraw from an activity, but it does not specify for how long, and because there is no clear time cap, literally withdrawing from anything for any given time period can count as retiring.

For instance, I haven't eaten in 30 minutes, which means that I have retired from eating for 30 minutes. I have seen several players whose profiles display that they are retired, but they are earning like 100k points per month, and i used to laugh and think what is this why did they not take this out of their profiles but then I woke up and realized what they mean when they say they are retired. Usually it means their activity is very unpredictable and they are capable of coming and going as they please. Retiring just means that your life is not bound to this game. It means you have free will. :D
