@Nex: Please tell me you didn't log in with your alts to downvote Semice's post. It's not even downvote-worthy to begin with- arguably one of the most important posts in this thread, should not be hidden for any reason.

Regardless of whether that was on you, this is not how the voting system is supposed to work.

And thanks to this thread, all Semice posts have been deleted. This means that almost whole vastness of The Lost Wolves forum history has been wiped, along with all his public 'fun troll' ones like Under the Microscope. Whoever did it - you ruined the forums, you fucker. -.-

Fizzer's decision to wipe Semice's forum history entirely was not one I had anticipated. My main concern is how the community itself deals with such behavior, and the result has been a disappointment.

Did Lynx not think I was taking this seriously when I wrote it? All words on my end here are spoken truly:

A few weeks ago, I would have told you in full honesty that I felt Semice did not deserve the Lynx tag due to his behavior. It was my belief that the clan was one of integrity. That their management and their players would rise above behavior that would be expected from players who aren't committed to building Warlight's community.

Today, I now know that my assumption was wrong: I believed that Semice did not deserve Lynx, but today's events show that the clan itself actually deserves him. They lied about their decision, hoping the problem would go away after a few days. And, I suspect, hoping that I wasn't taking my own words seriously. I'm not sure how someone would have concluded that, but I do not regret my decision to sever ties with the clan. They, in my heart, chose the wrong South Carolinian, and I hope that Semice will be worth it to them.

I fully admit I am not the nicest of people. But I am at least a person who recognizes I have made errors in the past, and have vowed to do better today, and tomorrow. If we are to look at my history, we'd note that for the most part, almost all I have done has been to build this community: I have spent multiple years building up clans from scratch, first with the LEA with Dr. Stupid and the rest of our management, then on to Illuminati to teach 1v1 to, and with, dozens of dedicated people.

We can compare that to Semice, then, and see that he has destroyed clans, while I uplifted them. I have also made serious mistakes along that journey; at one point I chose to leave Warlight completely, and in doing so abandoned, without warning, Illuminati, Warlighters, which I led through Anna's ghost, and Acme, a spinoff from the LEA. It is an error I do not plan to commit again, but I must accept that it happened and ask forgiveness from those it harmed. I have never hijacked a clan for personal gain.

Lose respect for me if you want, but unlike Lynx today, I am the honest one in this fight.

I don't think we're in a good place to judge Lynx's actions, as outsiders with little information.

You don't have to be an insider to see that they have lied outright about their intentions, and have sided with a chronically dishonest player. Forgive me for thinking the clan was better than they are.

sorry that Lynx is not booting a player on more than making 4 threads with the same name on them and aren't taking seriously folk who call for it.

You are both honest. Yes, Semice hijacked clans in an online Risk clone, but frankly that doesn't change my opinion of him by that much. I wouldn't get malicious.

There's an important post in this thread that's been overlooked.

Either that, or they don't ditch their valuable and helpful virtual family members based on minor public stunts like this one, which got exagerrated horribly anyway. I mean, what he did was he said "OMG stop spamming, it's bad, you know" - which is a pretty valid statement - and simply made a situational joke out of it by sending it 5 times instead of 1.
So you actually want someone to get kicked out of his clan because of a... joke.

It's pretty one-sided, and maybe even hypocritic. Don't you think that Semice might be at least slightly regretting what he did in the past? You seek for forgiveness, but outright reject possibility of giving any of it to Semice. Also, currently the guy's literally 15, people do many dumb things below that age that they wouldn't now. Besides, he does help his clans too - The Lost Wolves in its prime (btw the whole hijack stuff only had purpose of making TLW the biggest diplo clan, but that's not at all the only thing he did for TLW), and Lynx/101st now. However, he is not the one telling everyone how bad he was but isn't anymore. He never rejected his troll reputation, but instead he concentrated on upping his actual strategic WL play - and that gives him better name in a long run.

FK, I don't disrespect you because of past events or anything, you did a lot of fun stuff along with some shady stuff, and you are nice addition to whatever WL 'community' is, but you're basically poshing over Semice and that's just uncool.

To be fair, I was there and he exacerbated the fora a lot, and actually did bring down TLW reputation quite a bit - though there wasn't much to bring down.

He's talking about Semicedevine and a few others, I think the main other ones were Kellen and Godkung. He did stop at some point after TLW management (oh yeah that was me I guess at that point) poked him about it but it took some time before folk forgot about that.
