Season 6 of the Small Earth League should be starting in early June! Put your name down here on the league thread if you're interested in joining the league.

Any chance we can do fewer than 5 games at once since that's about the same time clan league starts? Even 3 or 4 would be nice.

The small earth league is completely unrelated to the clan league, and therefore it's settings shouldn't be influenced by either the clan league or any other competition. To do so would set the trend for players to ask for other changes, which could adversely affect the current smooth running of the league.

I have tried to accommodate those players with outside commitments by using 3-day boot times and allowing vacations, however, even with 5-games at once, some groups are regularly taking 2-3 weeks longer than others, meaning most players are forced to wait around for weeks on end as just a few players take a long time to finish games. To reduce the number of games at once would significantly increase the length of each season, which I don't believe is in the best interests of the small earth league. Games at once will remain at 5.

How about smaller leagues then?

Leagues of 6 may well speed up the seasons and also reduce the number of sudden games given, I must admit I also have this trouble, but leagues of 6 would give faster turnover too, which could be good, what do you reckon?

and PLEASE don't change anything about this league. It is currently the most drama free event, where the rules are consistent season to season. Keep it that way :D Honestly this league has a nice ration of seasons. You don't want them to be to frequent.

Just thought I'd ask. 5 games at once always feels like a small gut punch (I love the league otherwise).

TBest, all I'm saying is the same amount of games, just spread out more, little injections of 5 games every few weeks, rather than a large injection of 10 games every 2 months...

TBest, I appreciate what you've said about the league, but it would carry more weight if you were a league member. Are you interested in playing in the small earth league this season?

I would love to play, but personally I am not to big fan of a Promotion/Relegation setup. (That is, my WL activity is in waves, and thus I would likely have to dropout before I reached my appropriate group. (READ, overconfident aspiring ladder #1 that clearly sees himself as TBest, and a natural winner of any competition)

If i get that #1 spot before the next season starts I am in for sure. Even if I don't I might sign up, deepening on how much focus I wont to place on the 1v1 ladder. But I would like that gold trophy first ;)
