Sure, we've exchanged some words, you're always there to counter my rants, and we never agree fully on anything, but I think that's why I can't do without you. You are the Joker to my Batman, the Moriarty to my Holmes; you bring balance to the forum for me.

When you left, your vacant space was filled with absolute hell. It was terrifying. Nothing that Ion or Karl has posted could ever surpass the amount of cringiness that replaced you. For the sake of privacy names will not be given.

But then you came back. You are a lot more lax than I remember, or maybe I am the one who looks in a different perspective, now. I don't know. But when you came back, and when you made a counter argument on a rant of mine again, I was filled with joy and relief. I said to myself, "Thank God he's back, for now civility can return!" Okay, it might not have been so extravagant as that, but I was still happy. Even as I read your counter argument, every sentence challenging me to step up and hold my ground, my joy did not fade. You are my original rival in dealing with politics, even if I am not yours. Nobody can replace you, for you are competent, you bring to the table sources and your own research (instead of what you heard from others), and you do not aim to personally attack. Truly the OT Forum is not complete without you here, and I think all non-trolls, your friends, political partners and rivals can agree with me.

What I, Martian, am trying to say is: Don't ever leave me with those people again! So conniving, so prudent, so self righteous, so edgy (which is my job). Stay, and be a beacon, shining your temperance and basic respect for others on all of us!

This thread reminded me of my older brother MMB. I wonder when he will return :D

+1. My interactions with him are pretty similar.

Xy and I disagree on almost everything, but he's one of few people who I actually enjoy arguing with on the forum most of the time. Although it's been a long time since we debated anything, partly due to his absence and partly due to me being less active on the forum as well.

Always great to have proof that people can have ideological differences without spitting bile at each other around every corner.
