Already is, https://www.warlight.net/Map/2764-Luxembourg

Luxembourg counts only 109 communes and 6 villages/cities. You can't get it more detailled than that.

Narnia would actually be quite good, especially if you included Archenland to the South and all the islands to the East.

Yeah, for Narnia you would need the whole world, not just Narnia proper.

I'll chime in as someone else who would like to see a galaxy map, or at least more space-themed maps. Realistic ones. The universe is freakin huge.

Hey, I know, take some of those awesome Hubble/NASA photos and map them into a map. Here's the famous Horsehead Nebula: http://i.space.com/images/i/000/028/541/original/horsehead-nebula-hancock.jpg?1367354072

@wcyt , how do you mean realistic. We don't know the names or the locations of those stars in that horse headed galaxy. Even in our Milky Way I have to invent new planets and suns to fill up the space. But I can alter my idea. Maybe I should name my territories in latin. What does everyone else think?

Realistic meaning that it's based on reality. World maps, maps of Europe and various countries, etc. are realistic. Maps like this aren't: https://www.warlight.net/Map/5745-Battle-Islands-V

For space maps, very few on Warlight are realistic. Examples of non-realistic space-related maps:
It doesn't even have to be the whole galaxy, it could just include nearby stars. Since we're inside the galaxy, it's kinda hard to get a 'bird's eye view' of it. But you could just use the night sky itself, with perhaps the closest 20, 50, or 100 stars as the main territories. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_nearest_stars_and_brown_dwarfs

Heck, even a map based on our made-up constellations but accurately depicting the night sky would be more realistic than most space maps. This one goes for it, but is pretty ugly, IMO: https://www.warlight.net/Map/5197-Constellation-Map This one is similar: https://www.warlight.net/Map/2850-Constellation

Maybe instead of making the stars territories, you could use the stars as the vertices of territory polygons and have the territories be the regions between stars.

How do you make a realistic Earth-based map? Take a map of Earth and plot it to SVG. How to make a realistic space based map? Same thing. Take a map of space (sky's eye view, or perhaps use a similar spiral galaxy as a stand-in for our galaxy) and plot it to SVG.

Actually, just googling turned up some interesting results: https://www.google.com/search?q=map+of+milky+way

Here's one that looks promising: http://galaxymap.org/drupal/node/171

The video at this link introduces the most detailed sky's eye view of the Milky Way available, which took over a decade to put together. Pretty awesome: http://www.space.com/25584-milky-way-structure-spiral-arms.html

I still think a Star Wars -Galaxy Map would be very nice.

Maybe with 3 Big bonuses like

the Imperium, the rebels, and those who wont take part

Or maybe like the republic and the Droids :D

Eh any kind of space map - preferably without a background - with interesting gameplay (unlike rise of sol) would do good for me.
