I don't think Ctrl is really speaking about Gnuffone here. Of course he deserves a 2nd chance; as everybody does... It's more about all your blablabla Chris. I don't want to be rude but you speak a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot... always about/around allegations and rumors. You seem to be a nice guy though but you make many people cringe by always trying to have the last word, giving lessons etc... I'm sure you don't want to look like a "Mr know It all".




But we definitely don't have the same way to look at life. I personally don't like to rake the muck, matter of taste I presume.

yes i had stopped but as during nexts months i will always have a pc i decided to play again.. i pm u on skype about WGL like i told you other say, let me know.

tbh i think i recover some of passion i had for this game and want play some again.

I don't follow you. Was I wrong to want people not to operate two accounts on coin tournaments and the clan league? No.

I don't know where you are coming from on the last word/giving lessons stuff. I have helped a LOT of people on here get better with no return on that. Do I sometimes correct people in games? Sure. But if they disagree with me then so be it (I have been corrected a lot in games and I get better from it). What I get frustrated about is a high level teammate that says nothing and plays solo. I guess we operate differently in WG. We talk about important moves in important games. If you don't like that, don't play with me. Because when I'm in a competitive league, I expect competitive play. Win or lose at least we tried our best.

Helio, I guess you also miss all the comments I make about improving the site (I have had many uservoice items put in to place). And I guess you also miss the maps I contribute, the testing I do for other map makers and suggestions there, the custom leagues I run for people to play in.

But if you want to generalize all my talk to rumors/allegations...fine. Guess I see my contributions in a different way.

BTW, I have never had a beef with anyone in GG (currently). We even had a nice GG/WG clan challenge before you were in the clan.

But, I had some really bad experiences with Aranka and a few others that were in there a while trolling people and nobody really did anything about it for a while. I was glad when GG cleaned house on those people.

I'm not sure why you suddenly have a beef with me. We talked via mail about Gambler (which I appreciate), but if you had a beef with my play style then why not say so in the game? I can't meet an expectation you don't make clear to me.

Chris and Helio, I suggest moving your conversation from the public space into private chat or mail. Do not feed trolls and lurkers.

Chris, I dont think anyone doubts your immense contribution in improving Warlight by leading many important community initiatives. But many have noticed that you take a "moral high ground" stance in many so-called scandals and often point to problems and issues other clans have faced. So in this context a scandalous player as Gruffone is joining WG does look quite hypocritical, wouldnt you agree?


Any way, on topic about alts:
There should be an option on every players page to see a list of all accounts frequently accessed from the same IP.
Also there should be an option in game/tournament creation to enable or disable alt usage. Basically if turned on it would allow only one account per IP to join. Coin games should have this auto-enabled.
Of course proxy usage will always be a problem, but this would help somewhat and highly decrease the number of "alt scandals".

A flaw in the 1 account per ip system

A guy has 2 accounts on 2 devices one on each.

Then he something goes wrong on a device and can access only one account.

What if both accounts were important to him?

The "1 account per IP" system would be only for joining games and tournaments that have it enabled (like clan league or coin games, maybe some ladders). You would still be able to use several accounts from the same IP, just not at once in the same game/tournament.

I know this system would have many flaws. Just a proposition to start discussing.

Tbh , your idea has a lot of potential . I was just pointing at the many flaws it has. Maybe more feedback should make you reevaluate.

I remember Fizzer mentioning once that he liked to keep his alt-tracking capabilities opaque, since if people know how he tracks them it makes it easier for them to circumvent his tracking.

I don't think I completely agree with him, but that's what I remember his position being.
