What are the expected play times for the idle levels? Can the people who've beaten each level post how long it took them? I'd like to know if I'm at least finishing them in a reasonable amount of time.

Each one takes me about 5 days. I'm on Breaking Green right now.

Highly recommend upgrading Maximum Idle Time unless you plan on playing a lot.
Also recommend increasing Ore Sell values, super useful to get some progress early on.

For me, every level past Huruey up to Drakemor has taken 1-3 days. I think Peloponnesian might take me 4.

Apparently the AP are based on how long the levels are supposed to take, although that's probably not a linear function since the final US level apparently takes a month.

The game is not interesting enough to justify those play times. Particularly towards the end of maps where there are very few meaningful interactions.

Scandinavia completed

Needs 141.9B armies to complete. Took me almost 7 days but I used 4 FBs, a MR, 3 IMs (received ~10B armies for these), bunch of FCs and a few TWs/SACs/SMs.
